Hedgepine Horticulture  From left to right, runner beans, french beans, broccoli, red cabbage, white cabbage, lone courgette, leeks and onions, beetroot, celeriac, brussel sprouts, more onions, and chard at the front. Against the wall at the back is a fair few raspberry canes :-)

Cat's Garden  You've been very very busy!

Hedgepine Horticulture  Yes, it takes a lot of work, but thankfully most of it gets to the kitchen rather than to the slugs or other pests!

Cat's Garden  My garden is overrun with slugs and I have quite bad molluscophobia! I started using slug pellets last year and they have been brilliant.

Hedgepine Horticulture  I've never used pellets as we have hedgehogs in the garden and I wouldn't want to poison them. I do a lot of baking and keep the eggshells for a barrier against them. Seems to have worked so far!

Cat's Garden  Ah yes, good shout on the hedgehogs! My garden just has stray neighbourhood cats who stay away from it!
